The meeting between the new US Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle, and Foreign Minister Georgios Gerapetritis took place in a warm atmosphere at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The American ambassador expressed her enthusiasm to the Greek Foreign Minister about being in Greece. During their meeting, she notably carried a red bag containing a gift intended for Mr. Gerapetritis.

It should be noted that Ms. Guilfoyle arrived at the Foreign Ministry after presenting her credentials to the President of the Republic, Konstantinos Tassoulas.
The new US Ambassador arrived at the Presidential Palace, where the Greek National Anthem was played before she entered the building. The new ambassador was received by the Foreign Ministry’s protocol chief Georgios Zevelakis, who presented her to the President: “Mr. President, we present to you the ambassador seeking accreditation.”
