Maria Karystianou emphasizes that her attention remains focused on the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO), where an important memorandum she submitted is pending for criminal investigations against political figures, stressing that her action is based on deeds, documents and arguments, without any exception or compromise.

Maria Karystianou writes in her post: “No more deception, no more defamation. The desperation of the political system has hit red.
Without any confirmation question from journalists, as they are obligated to do, I learn from the media that third parties are spreading that I allegedly formed a party.
I read the text disappointed and remain speechless at the excessive audacity to even present a logo!

A deceitful attempt to spread false news, to connect me with the rotten old political system and to drive attention away from what should concern us right now, at a time when on Friday a new criminal case was announced against the Prime Minister and his top Ministers.
Our gaze goes beyond the lies and remains fixed on the European Public Prosecutor’s Office, where a critical memorandum of mine is pending regarding the huge trap that was set up so that EPPO would not exercise its competencies and powers for criminal investigation and punishment of political figures.

We prove every moment with actions, with documents and with arguments that we remain vigilant guardians until vindication!

The rumors about creating a new political party with Maria Karystianou’s participation came after a post by Nikos Karachalios, former strategic planning advisor to Kostas Karamanlis, about “The Wave”. “Maria activated civil society and called us to take action. We ordinary citizens care and respond” he characteristically wrote on Twitter, sparking rumors that a party is indeed being prepared by the president of the “Tempe 28/2/23” Association.
