According to information from the website orthodoxianewsagency.gr, the Holy Community, after receiving information from the Civil Administrator of Mount Athos, Alkiviadis Stefanis, regarding the visit, sent a letter to Kyriakos Mitsotakis informing him that they await him “wholeheartedly” along with his entourage.

Furthermore, it announces that as part of the visit, a Solemn Extraordinary Double Holy Synaxis will be convened on Friday, July 4, according to institutional tradition.
The letter to the Prime Minister is signed by all Representatives and Abbots of the twenty Holy Monasteries of Mount Athos gathered in common Synaxis.

He will arrive at Karyes, spend the night at the Holy Monastery of Simonopetra, visit the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi, pass through the Holy Monastery of Xenophontos, and then depart.
