All eyes are on the upcoming book presentation by Alexis Tsipras at Amalias, where the former prime minister’s headquarters is located, as it is expected to become a major political event. The challenge for Alexis Tsipras’ staff is whether they will be able to organize a second presentation in Thessaloniki before the holidays. Obviously, everyone is waiting to see the impact that the former prime minister’s book content will have, both in the political world and in society.
Tomorrow or, at the latest, Friday, the names of the Scientific Council will be announced, numbering over thirty members. It’s worth noting that extensive research was conducted to select these personalities who will support the Tsipras Institute, given that many faced bureaucratic problems that ultimately prevented their participation. Meanwhile, in SYRIZA, discussion continues regarding the Political Secretariat’s decision about Alexis Tsipras. SYRIZA spokesperson Kostas Zachariadis, referring to this issue, emphasized: “For us, Alexis Tsipras’ decision is a very significant event, producing results both for our space and possibly for the country’s political system as a whole. This raises a question: How do we position ourselves regarding Alexis Tsipras from now on? Is he our opponent, our enemy, or our comrade, and do we want to walk closely together? I say the latter. He is a comrade and we want to be on similar paths.”
He added: “This is our opinion. Beyond that, we have made a proposal for a joint electoral campaign with both New Left and PASOK. Is it possible that we wouldn’t think we should address everyone in this matter? Obviously, when Alexis Tsipras, as it appears, makes some move, shouldn’t we also address Alexis Tsipras himself, with whom we’ve been together for so many years? Is it possible to say I’ll sit at the same table with Androulakis and not say that obviously we want to sit at the table with Alexis Tsipras, to discuss, to have interaction?”
