New Democracy maintains a steady lead with a double-digit difference over second-place PASOK, according to a poll conducted by Interview for Political. This is the first poll published after Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ announcements from the Thessaloniki International Fair platform. Specifically, the “blue” party leads by 12.1 points in electoral outcome estimation, gathering 26.7% support.
In detail, New Democracy in electoral outcome estimation gathers 26.7%, followed by: PASOK with 14.6%, Greek Solution with 9.8%, KKE (Communist Party) with 8.8%, Course of Freedom with 5.6%, Voice of Reason with 4.9%, Movement for Change with 4.2%, MeRA25 with 4.2%, SYRIZA with 4.1%, New Left with 2.6%, and Victory with 2.3%. Other parties account for 12.2%.

Compared to the same company’s research in late August, New Democracy gains 0.8% (26.7% in September – 25.9% in August), PASOK loses 0.2% (14.6% in September – 14.8% in August), Greek Solution drops by 0.3% (9.8% in September – 10.1% in August), KKE shows an increase of 1 point (8.8% in September – 7.8% in August), Course of Freedom falls by 4.4% (5.6% in September – 10% in August), Voice of Reason loses 0.3% (4.9% in September – 5.2% in August), SYRIZA loses 0.4% (4.1% in September – 4.5% in August), MeRA25 decreases by 0.8% (4.2% in September – 5% in August), and Movement for Change drops by 1.1% (4.2% in September – 5.3% in August).

When asked “if we had elections next Sunday, which party would you vote for?”, the same poll records: 21.9% New Democracy, 12% PASOK, 8.1% Greek Solution, 7.2% KKE, 4.6% Course of Freedom, 4% Voice of Reason, 3.8% Movement for Change, 3.8% MeRA25, 3.4% SYRIZA, 2.1% New Left, 1.9% Victory, 10% other, and 17.2% undecided.

The surprise for Karystianos’ party and responses about Samaras and Tsipras
The poll also measured respondents’ opinions on the possibility of new parties being formed by Alexis Tsipras, Antonis Samaras, and Maria Karystianos, with 13% saying they would choose the former SYRIZA prime minister’s party, 9% the former New Democracy prime minister’s party, and 25% supporting the president of the Tempe tragedy victims’ association.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis continues to enjoy citizens’ trust, gathering 27% when asked “which political leader do you trust most for governing the country?” with second-place Nikos Androulakis following at a considerable distance.

Specifically, Kyriakos Mitsotakis gathers 27% of responses, Nikos Androulakis 9.7%, Kyriakos Velopoulos 7.8%, Dimitris Koutsoubas 6.3%, Zoe Konstantopoulou 5.4%, Stefanos Kasselakis 4%, Socrates Famellos 3%, Alexis Charitsis 3%, Afroditi Latinopoulou 1%, and Dimitris Natsios 1%, with “none” receiving 28.9%.
The poll finally records that 41% support completing the government’s term, while 57% favor early elections.
