Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece at the Maximos Mansion.
At the beginning of their meeting, they had the following exchange:
Kyriakos Mitsotakis: I welcome you once again with great joy and feelings of affection. We are at the beginning of both the political and ecclesiastical year, so this is again an opportunity to discuss the pending issues we have and to reaffirm, I believe, the excellent level of cooperation between the State and the Church of Greece.
I think we have taken very significant steps, we have resolved many pending issues that come from the past, and we are here to face together, as we should, the great challenges of our time. So, once again, welcome.
Archbishop Ieronymos: I thank you very much, because despite the burden of your many problems, you find the time, whenever needed, to discuss and decide together, with great pleasure.
