Regarding the rumors about Alexis Tsipras returning to active politics with a new party, the president of the Movement for Democracy, Stefanos Kasselakis, spoke on SKAI on Friday morning, September 5th.
Stefanos Kasselakis: Since Alexis Tsipras is copying me, I believe he’ll do very well
“I think Mr. Tsipras will do very well. First he goes to study at an American university, then writes a book, then starts a new party. Since he’s copying me, I believe he’ll do very well. He should come to Spetses, which is in his region, to speak to voters…“, Mr. Kasselakis initially stated.
When asked if there’s a possibility of cooperation with Mr. Tsipras, he answered categorically: “Over my dead body. I’m saying it clearly. I don’t get involved with the swamp“.
The president of the Movement for Democracy called on citizens to reject “false dilemmas” and support alternatives that, as he said, can make the economy work for the many.
“We need elections. I want the old rotten system to fall, for a new model to come to the country“, he noted, adding that it’s wrong to constantly change the electoral law. He also clarified that there’s no plan to align with other parties, not even with Course of Freedom. Concluding, he emphasized: “If the Greek people want to give us governing responsibilities, I want to say clearly that we will have a realistic, humanistic policy that will never sell out the Aegean“, he stressed.
