In an atmosphere of emotion and grief, the funeral of Apostolos Vesyropoulos took place on Saturday morning, August 23rd, at the Holy Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Alexandria, Imathia. It should be noted that the Secretary General of the New Democracy Parliamentary Group passed away last Thursday, August 21st, from cardiac arrest at the age of 59.

Apostolos Vesyropoulos: devastated Kyriakos Mitsotakis delivers eulogy
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis attended Apostolos Vesyropoulos’ funeral and delivered a eulogy while visibly moved.
“The best child has left us, that’s how we will all remember him,” the Prime Minister emphasized in his eulogy, speaking of the great void left behind by the deceased.
“We will remember him above all for his smile, for the beautiful positive energy he radiated. When we learned of his tragic and unexpected death, we all said one thing: the best child has left us. That’s how we will all remember him. As a good man who cared about people, his fellow citizens, and the political party he served,” Kyriakos Mitsotakis said characteristically, adding “Tall one, we will miss you.”
