The Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, is in Tinos to represent Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the government at events commemorating the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
Nikos Dendias visits Tinos for 85th anniversary of cruiser “Elli” torpedoing – “Eternal memory”
Early Friday morning, the Minister of National Defense participated in honor and memorial ceremonies for the 85th anniversary of the torpedoing of the cruiser “Elli,” paying tribute to the fallen officers and sailors of the Hellenic Navy.
Specifically, the Minister of National Defense attended, together with the Chief of General Staff of the Navy Vice Admiral Dimitrios E. Kataras, the memorial service aboard the missile boat (TPK) “Mykonios” in the sea area of Tinos and the wreath-laying ceremony at the underwater grave of the fallen crew of the “Elli”.
