The Greek Foreign Ministry clarified that a recent post on the official account of the Greek embassy in Luxembourg regarding pro-Gaza protests does not reflect the country’s official position. Responding to a journalist’s question, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lana Zochios stated that the prescribed administrative and disciplinary procedures have already begun to determine the circumstances under which the post was made and to assign any potential responsibilities.
The post, which was removed just minutes after publication, referred to demonstrations that took place on Sunday, August 10, at more than 100 locations across Greece, demanding an end to what protesters called “genocide” in Gaza.
