Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis held a telephone conversation with United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio. During their discussion, they addressed the exceptional level of Greek-American relations, which is strengthened by the development of American investments in Greece, as well as the mutual commitment to further enhance relations both bilaterally and multilaterally through frameworks such as the “3+1” format involving Cyprus and Israel.

Both sides also exchanged views on the situation in Libya, emphasizing the need to strengthen the political process aimed at conducting free elections and removing any foreign interference from the country. They also discussed issues concerning the need to respect International Law regarding the delimitation of maritime zones, as well as strengthening control mechanisms for illegal migration flows.
The conversation concluded with an exchange of views on international developments, with emphasis on the crises in the Middle East and Ukraine.
