Public sentiment toward the government’s newly announced measures — as well as the proposals put forward by Alexis Tsipras and Nikos Androulakis — is captured in the latest opinion poll conducted by GPO, published today in the Parapolitika newspaper.
Both in voting intention and estimated vote share, New Democracy maintains a clear lead over Tsipras’s ELAS party, while PASOK shows a notably improved standing.

PASOK: 13.1%

KKE (Communist Party): 8.7%

Of particular interest, however, are the responses to questions concerning New Democracy itself and its political identity.
Standout findings include answers to the question of who is considered the greatest New Democracy leader of all time, who best embodies the party’s principles and values, and where respondents stand on the possibility of former Prime Minister Antonis Samaras launching a new political party.
These findings carry significant weight, as they shed light not only on the current political landscape and the balance of power between parties, but also on citizens’ deeper perceptions of the center-right’s identity, trajectory, and potential political realignments ahead.
