The “My Home 2” program is already at 53% of its implementation and is expected to cover a total of 20,000 beneficiaries by the end of the year, while over 8,500 citizens have already “secured” a home, according to statements made in an interview with ERT News by Deputy Minister of National Economy, Nikos Papathanasis.

Specifically, according to the minister, “the program will close this year, a very important program that will cover 20,000 of our fellow citizens”.
Papathanasis: €20,600 average family income of beneficiaries – €6.5 billion in support measures
Providing more details about the program, he emphasized that the average family income of beneficiaries reaches €20,600, while the average age is 37 years. The average home acquired through the program is 89 square meters. Regarding cost, the average installment is 40% lower than the corresponding rent.
The government has already directed €6.5 billion toward support measures, with Mr. Papathanasis underlining that “we cannot say the problem is easy – it’s a difficult problem, but no one can accuse the government of not turning its attention to this major issue,” he emphasized.
