The domestic political scene, national issues and international developments were discussed by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis with the President of the Republic Konstantinos Tasoulas during their meeting at the Presidential Mansion on Wednesday (May 20). Mitsotakis: “One year remains for the constitutional completion of our term”
Kyriakos Mitsotakis, speaking about the domestic political scene, said that “the reshuffling of the political landscape doesn’t concern us.” He emphasized that the government remains absolutely committed to implementing its governmental program, characteristically stating that “every month counts, as one year remains for the constitutional completion of our term.”
Mitsotakis: “Greece faces major challenges with calmness and confidence”
The Prime Minister, referring to developments in national and international issues, emphasized that “Greece faces the major challenges of this turbulent era with calmness and confidence,” noting that our country has “strong deterrent capabilities, strong alliances and international law on our side.”
Mitsotakis on high prices: government remains committed to supporting citizens
Regarding the issue of high prices, Kyriakos Mitsotakis noted that the government remains committed to supporting citizens. At the same time, he emphasized that in June the support payment of 150 euros per child will be disbursed to families.
Finally, referring to the progress of the Recovery Fund, the Prime Minister emphasized that by the end of August all pending issues related to the program will have been completed.
