French President Emmanuel Macron will make an official visit to Athens on April 24-25, according to an announcement from the Élysée Palace. During the visit, the renewal of the Greek-French Strategic Partnership Agreement for Defense and Security Cooperation is expected to be agreed upon, among other matters, as reported by ANA-MPA.
According to sources, an appendix or a separate memorandum of understanding (MoU) is expected to be added, which will concern cooperation between Greece and France at the innovation level.
The cooperation in this specific area will involve defense innovation agencies.
From the Greek side, the contracting party will be the Greek Defense Innovation Center (ELKAK), and from the French side, the AID (Agence de l’innovation de défense), which was one of the models followed to create ELKAK.
