«March 25th is the soul of Hellenism. The Revolution of 1821 sent a message to all humanity: That with deep faith in the struggle, you can defeat any opponent, no matter how powerful they may be», declared Nikos Androulakis, following the conclusion of the military parade in Athens for the March 25th anniversary.
Mr. Androulakis characterized March 25th as the “soul of Hellenism”, emphasizing that the Revolution of 1821 sent a timeless message to all humanity: “that a people, with faith and determination, can overcome even a more powerful opponent”. At the same time, the PASOK president noted that Greeks envisioned an independent and democratic state, as evidenced by the three revolutionary constitutions. “We too have a duty today to preserve the principles and values of those who sacrificed for the homeland”, Mr. Androulakis said characteristically. In the same context, he emphasized that today’s generation has the responsibility to keep alive the principles and values of those who sacrificed for the country.
“For a Greece with national dignity and social justice. For a Greece with strong institutions and quality democracy. For a society with high expectations. Many happy returns to all Greek women and men,” concluded the PASOK-KINAL president.
