Nikitas Kaklamanis sent his own message on the occasion of celebrating the national anniversary of March 25th. As the Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament stated in his message, “205 years after the beginning of the Greek Revolution, we honor today the struggle of a people who dared, demanded, and achieved their freedom and national dignity. The Greeks of 1821, with faith, courage, and self-sacrifice, proved that the desire for independence can overcome every difficulty and adverse condition. Their sacrifices and struggles laid the foundations for the creation of the modern Greek state and primarily determined the course of our Nation,” emphasized the Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament.
Kaklamanis on March 25th anniversary: “The message of the Revolution remains more relevant than ever”
He also noted that “at this time we live in an environment of continuous international geopolitical and other challenges. For this reason, the message of the Revolution remains more relevant than ever. Let us all consider our responsibility toward history and, guided by unity, defend the values of our homeland. To continue the work of the heroes of 1821 with memory and responsibility for an even stronger Greece constitutes the greatest honor to their historic struggle.”
