“The impact of the war in the Middle East on citizens and the economy is our main priority,” emphasized Kyriakos Pierrakakis, president of the Eurogroup and Greece’s Minister of National Economy and Finance, in a post following the Eurozone Summit. Mr. Pierrakakis also underlines that Europe plans to provide answers on three levels – energy costs, investments and economic digitization – for the problems that concern households and businesses.
Pierrakakis: We must remain committed to improving EU competitiveness
Specifically, in his post Kyriakos Pierrakakis states the following: “Yesterday I spoke with EU leaders at the Euro Summit. The impact of the war in the Middle East on citizens and the economy is our main priority. Citizens and businesses are concerned about energy costs. We will address their concerns.
We must remain committed to improving EU competitiveness.
– By keeping energy prices affordable
– By accelerating the creation of a Savings and Investment Fund
– By leveraging the potential of economic digitization”.
