Nikos Christodoulides spoke today (03/03) with Konstantinos Tassoulas, against the backdrop of developments taking place in the Middle East due to the coordinated operation by the USA and Israel against Iran.
Hours after Iran launched drones at the British base in Cyprus, the President of the Republic, Konstantinos Tassoulas, contacted his Cypriot counterpart, Nikos Christodoulides, expressing Greece’s solidarity with Cyprus. At the same time, he was also briefed on the strikes at the British base in Akrotiri.
Konstantinos Tassoulas also contacted Kyriakos Mitsotakis, with the latter briefing the President on everything happening in the Middle East as well as on our country’s military assistance to Cyprus.
He informed him that he is expected to brief political leaders on the situation in the Middle East. Earlier, Kyriakos Mitsotakis also met with Nikos Androulakis, emphasizing that the government’s priority is the repatriation of Greeks.
