Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Maltese Prime Minister Robert Abela in Rome, on the sidelines of the Ukraine Recovery Conference.

According to information released, during the meeting, developments in migration were discussed and the need for renewed engagement with Libya was agreed upon.
Furthermore, the reactivation of the “Team Europe” approach was agreed upon, with the deployment once again of the European Commission delegation and relevant ministers from Greece, Italy and Malta, in order to continue the mission to Libya.
