“The country’s reconstruction can only be undertaken by leading political personalities with governmental experience, integrity, education and proven patriotism who possess the required prestige in Greece and abroad…these personalities, even if they did not exist, would have to be invented. But fortunately they exist and must be mobilized.” With these phrases, the “Citizens’ Group” consisting of 91 members from the scientific community, Armed Forces, public life, professions and arts are calling, without naming names, for Antonis Samaras to take initiatives to exit the crisis as they declare.
In their text, they criticize the government on national issues as well as domestic ones such as inflation, crime, illegal immigration and other matters. The event is taking place right now in the ESIEA events hall. When asked by “Parapolitika” whether the invitation is addressed to Mr. Samaras or Mr. Karamanlis, Professor Ioannis Mazis responded indirectly in the affirmative.
