The Minister of Migration and Asylum, Thanos Plevris, shared via his post on platform X (formerly Twitter) the immediate measures announced by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis from the parliamentary podium to address the increased migration flows from the North African coasts.
According to Mr. Plevris, the Greek government is sending a stern message, emphasizing: “Stay where you are, we don’t accept you.”

- Creation of a new detention facility in Crete to meet increased needs.
