Adonis Georgiadis commented on Thursday’s incidents outside the Nikaia General State Hospital, where he had gone for the inauguration of the renovated emergency department. “Hospitals don’t belong to employees, their uncles, or their brothers-in-law. If the police cordon had been broken, we would have been hit very seriously. Will the Communist Party and ANTARSYA forbid me from going to the hospital?” he emphasized.
The minister noted that he will visit the hospital again and warned: “The next time anyone prevents me from entering, all legal measures will be taken. This is the first and last time I will accept such behavior.”
Subsequently, he confirmed that on his orders, the doctor who had been arrested for insults and threats against him was released.
