Former SYRIZA minister Panagiotis Lafazanis calls Prokopis Pavlopoulos a “great mythomaniac” in his statement to parapolitika.gr, commenting on what he said on ANT1 about his “invasion” of the political leaders’ meeting in 2015 with the aim of asking A. Tsipras to turn to V. Putin for help.
According to P. Lafazanis, A. Tsipras knew from the previous day that the Russian President would call him and had asked him to notify him the moment this would happen.
“Everything else is mythology from the arch-coup plotter Pavlopoulos. I didn’t remove anyone from the meeting. A. Tsipras came out on his own as soon as he was notified that he had the call from Putin.
Q: And why does P. Pavlopoulos say this?
A: He’s seeking publicity, to show that I wanted us to go to the drachma through Putin. He’s a great mythomaniac with what he said about me and about the events.
