The president of Voice of Logic, Afroditi Latinopoulou, outlined the measures she would take on immigration if she became the responsible minister, repeating her proposal to impose the death penalty on human traffickers, which she said she has already presented to the European Parliament.
Latinopoulou on immigration: “I have called for death penalty for human traffickers”
Speaking to MEGA, the president of Voice of Logic said characteristically: “First, they should know internationally that whoever tries to cross the borders gets arrested and transferred to closed centers on uninhabited islands. This is not a harsh measure, it’s the obvious and logical thing in a country that respects its citizens. They won’t get benefits or housing.”
She continued saying: “I also demand strict penalties for human traffickers, even the death penalty, and I have requested this in the European Parliament. We live in an era where women are being raped, where ghettos are increasing and Islam has entered the heart of Europe spreading the Quran, and you don’t tackle these issues with aspirin.” Indeed, Afroditi Latinopoulou in this context also insisted on the characterization “illegal immigrants” saying that “whoever invades a country illegally is an illegal immigrant.”
Finally, responding to journalist Takis Hatzis’ reaction to these characterizations, the president of Voice of Logic said “let’s then gather all of Africa and Asia and whoever wants to come to Greece, as if we have room, and Greek children are doing well. What are we, Larissa train station where anyone can come and go as they please?”
