“PASOK obviously must not co-govern with New Democracy”, emphasized PASOK MP for East Attica, Manolis Christodoulakis, speaking on Parapolitika 90.1 radio show “She and I” with journalists Thanasis Fouskidis and Stella Gantona. “I’m not afraid of collective decisions, whoever thinks there are issues that need to be clarified, let it happen,” he added, when asked about the party’s Congress and Doukas’ proposal.
Additionally, Manolis Christodoulakis referenced the recent tragedies with the explosion at the “Violanta” factory in Trikala, where 5 female workers lost their lives, as well as the traffic accident in Romania claiming the lives of 7 PAOK fans. “These are heavy days for all of us – losing 5 female workers in a factory and 7 young sports fans. Regarding the traffic accident, what I take away is that these incidents are an opportunity to overcome any rivalry, and it’s good to remember this at all times,” he noted.
“Regarding the factory, it’s a reality that in 2025 we had 201 workplace accidents. This is a gap that arises from how there are overall gaps in the State,” he added. “I won’t substitute the experts – I don’t have and don’t express an opinion about what happened in Trikala. However, the fact remains that 5 women died. What interests me is that even if it were one person, a human being still lost their life at their workplace,” the PASOK MP further stated.

Manolis Christodoulakis on Maria Karystianos: I believe the views she has expressed so far belong to an ultra-conservative space
Also, when asked about Maria Karystianos, Manolis Christodoulakis said, among other things: “Ms. Karystianos is the mother of a child who was lost in Tempi, apart from her decision to enter politics, we treat her as such. We will judge her politically when the time comes. I believe that the views she has expressed so far belong to an ultra-conservative space, for example on abortions (…)”. Also, when asked about her statements on Greek-Turkish relations, Mr. Christodoulakis said they move in the sphere of “apolitical irrationality“.
Regarding opinion polls, he said: “We listen to the polls, we evaluate them (…). I believe that a large part of the public is not satisfied and would like to see a change. PASOK presented a program at the Thessaloniki International Fair in September. We are not satisfied with the polling data. Our goal is to contribute to political change. Obviously, we have a lot of work to do to reach our goal”.
“I am with PASOK’s yesterday that kept the country standing in difficult times, I am with PASOK’s today,” he also mentioned subsequently.
