The parliamentary inquiry committee investigating OPEKEPE is approaching its conclusion. After completing the examination of the 2019-2025 period, the investigation of the 2015-2019 period under the SYRIZA-ANEL coalition government has also been finalized. Now attention turns to the previous years dating back to 1999. Under this framework, the schedule for upcoming sessions includes testimonies from Kostas Skandalidis, Giorgos Anomeritis, Stefanos Tzoumakas, Alexandros Kontos, and Sotiris Chatzigakis.
Sotiris Chatzigakis will be the final witness to testify before the inquiry committee. Following his testimony, political parties will be given a reasonable period (10-15 days) to prepare their reports, which will then be thoroughly discussed in the plenary session without any voting or further parliamentary action.
