Mitsotakis on Epiphany: It gives us new strength, Greece advances improving citizens’ lives
The Prime Minister delivered a message of unity and optimism, stating that Greece is moving forward by improving its citizens’ lives, while simultaneously strengthening its defense and adapting its policy “to the new map of global correlations“, always guided by national interest. He notes that at the beginning of 2026, without ignoring the difficulties, there is reason for optimism, provided there is unity. As the Prime Minister emphasizes, determination is needed to overcome whatever holds the country back, faith in truth and results instead of “lies and grand words“, as well as responsibility towards society and future generations.
Concluding his message, Kyriakos Mitsotakis wishes “Many happy returns and good enlightenment to all Greek women and men, within and beyond borders”, emphasizing that “with confidence, planning and effort, the best is ahead of us“.
The Prime Minister’s full message for the Epiphany celebration:
“Every year, Epiphany gives us new strength to remain steadfast on our path. Especially now, in an uncertain world, with upheavals and unprecedented challenges. With Greece, however, moving forward, improving the lives of its citizens. Above all, though, strengthening its defense and adapting its policy to the new map of global correlations guided by national interest.
At the beginning of 2026, therefore, without denying the difficulties, we can be optimistic. As long as we are united. Determined to overcome whatever still holds us back. Faithful to truth and results instead of lies and grand words. As well as responsible towards the rest of society. To our fellow citizens, but also to the generations to come.
Many happy returns, then, and good enlightenment to Greek women and men everywhere on earth. With confidence, planning and effort, the best is ahead of us”.
