A doxology service for the beginning of the new year 2026 was held on Thursday morning at the Athens Metropolitan Cathedral, attended by the country’s political, state and military leadership. Specifically, the Athens Cathedral’s new year celebration was attended by, among others, President of the Republic Konstantinos Tasoulas, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Parliament Speaker Nikitas Kaklamanis, Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis, Environment and Energy Minister Stavros Papastavrou, Attica Regional Governor Nikos Hardalias and Athens Mayor Haris Doukas.
The doxology was also attended by PASOK-KINAL leader Nikos Androulakis, as well as representatives of the military leadership.
