“I expected him to take responsibility. Leadership goes hand-in-hand with accountability, and in this specific case, I didn’t see the former Prime Minister take responsibility for anything that happened during his tenure. Instead, I only saw blame-shifting and criticism of others,” emphasized PASOK MP Rania Thraskia, speaking on Parapolitika 90.1 radio show “She and I” with journalists Stella Gantona and Thanasis Fouskidis. Asked to comment on Tsipras’s book, she added: “This doesn’t showcase a politician who wants to be a leader and wants to make a comeback.” This criticism of Alexis Tsipras comes just days after Rania Thraskia’s statement that Tsipras could be a potential dialogue partner for PASOK.
“Now I think people will judge my own political choices with greater leniency and understanding. It was impossible for me to endure everything that was happening within SYRIZA, which is now being revealed through the pages of this book – one person attacking another. This isn’t comradeship. What disappointed me is that Alexis Tsipras chose not to take responsibility, and this diminishes him,” she specifically stated. Finally, she clarified: “A person who doesn’t take responsibility no longer seems capable of being a dialogue partner for PASOK.”
