Stefanos Kasselakis hit back at politicians who reacted to Alexis Tsipras’ book “Ithaca,” which was released on Monday, November 24. The president of the Democratic Movement characterized his predecessor in SYRIZA as “homophobic,” while recounting an incident involving his partner Tyler and Tsipras’ partner Betty Baziana. Furthermore, he implies that if he had brought a female companion to the Sounion meeting, the former prime minister would never have mentioned it. Additionally, he was sarcastic about Tsipras’ “progressiveness.”
What Stefanos Kasselakis said about “Ithaca”
“I must respond to a self-referential whitewashing work: The ‘Ithaca’ of my predecessor in SYRIZA which will end up being a Titanic for his very expensive re-branding,” Stefanos Kasselakis says characteristically in a video he posted on Instagram about Alexis Tsipras’ book.
“In a crescendo of homophobic gossip, Alexis claims that my husband Tyler asked his wife Betty how we should raise our children in the Maximos Mansion. Obviously Betty’s English is a bit worse than Alexis’ since she didn’t understand that Tyler was asking her what it was like raising their own children when they were at the Maximos Mansion.”
“Think about it: if I had brought a female partner to Sounion, would he ever mention this in his book? It’s highly revealing of his supposed progressiveness and explains several political choices,” Stefanos Kasselakis describes.
