A 32-year-old man has been remanded in custody after stabbing a 35-year-old victim 18 times with a sharp object during a dispute at a village festival in Lesbos in the early hours of Sunday.
According to ERT, the 32-year-old will be taken to Chios prison, while his lawyer will file an appeal against the decision. As he stated, his client claimed in his testimony that “he was not holding a knife, he was provoked by the 35-year-old who was holding a broken bottle, and everything happened in front of the defendant’s 6.5-year-old child.”
It should be noted that after the incident, the 35-year-old underwent surgery and sustained serious injuries across his entire body.

None of the 18 stab wounds struck any of his vital organs. Although he initially required intensive care treatment, doctors ultimately managed to save his life.
