In three to four days, after immunosuppressive medications have been discontinued for the 62-year-old patient, who continues to be hospitalized on a ventilator with her health condition further deteriorated since last night in the intensive care unit (ICU) of Piraeus “Tzaneio” hospital, only then will specialized neurological tests begin, so that her treating physicians can clearly determine the level and quality of her brain function.
It should be noted that while during the first ten days of her hospitalization in the ICU at “Tzaneio” the 62-year-old patient, who was given a transfusion with the wrong blood type, was stabilized and continued this way for about a month, last night she experienced a major complication that further worsened her health condition, especially given that she also suffers from two serious chronic diseases that are prone to complications.
