A 66-year-old martial arts coach was arrested in Argyroupoli, accused of sexual acts against his 17-year-old female student. According to police, the man allegedly exploited the trust relationship he had developed with the minor.
The case came to light following a complaint by the 17-year-old’s mother, according to which these acts began on June 1st. Police authorities proceeded to gather evidence and formed a relevant case file, which was forwarded to the Athens First Instance Prosecutor’s Office.

Criminal charges were filed against him for abuse of a minor who has completed 14 years of age, committed by a person who maintains friendly relations with the family and is the minor’s trainer, on a continuous basis.
Following the issuance of an arrest warrant on June 27th, the 66-year-old was arrested on Monday, June 30th and brought before the competent judicial authorities.
The investigation into the case is ongoing.
