Criminal organization that committed sophisticated burglaries in the areas of Megara and Nea Peramos has been dismantled by the Crime Investigation and Detection Department of Megara, Western Attica Crime Investigation and Detection Subdivision. The illegal profits obtained by the criminal group are estimated at over €200,000. During the police operation to arrest them, the two perpetrators attempted to escape while the 32-year-old resisted during his apprehension.
Regarding their operation, the organization members approached houses in sparsely populated areas, mainly during afternoon and evening hours, and used burglary tools to break through doors, windows or balcony doors of homes. They then entered the houses wearing masks, medical masks and gloves to make their identification difficult, where they removed jewelry and cash.

Two individuals, aged 35 and 32, were arrested in a coordinated police operation during the morning hours of June 30, 2025, charged with participation in a criminal group that committed sophisticated burglaries through conspiracy and habitually, money laundering from criminal activities, violence against officials and disobedience, while a 23-year-old is also included in the case file.
Regarding their method of operation, the accused have been committing sophisticated burglaries in the areas of Megara and Nea Peramos since at least May 2024.
Specifically, the accused approached houses in sparsely populated areas, mainly during afternoon and evening hours, and used burglary tools to break through doors, windows or balcony doors of homes.
They then entered the houses wearing masks, medical masks and gloves to make their identification difficult, where they removed jewelry and cash.
To commit these criminal acts, they used an “operational” vehicle on which they either removed or altered the license plates or installed license plates they had removed from other vehicles.
During searches of their homes and possessions, the following items were found and confiscated:
numerous jewelry items and watches,
3 cameras with recording equipment,
burglary tools (glass-breaking tool, hot air tool, wrench, etc.),
clothing used during the commission of the thefts,
gaming console with filed-off serial number,
2 mobile phones and
€1,865 in cash.
The preliminary investigation by the Megara Crime Investigation and Detection Department solved a total of 28 cases of sophisticated burglaries in Megara, Nea Peramos as well as in Kleidi, Boeotia.
The illegal profits obtained by the criminal group are estimated at over €200,000.
It should be noted that during the police operation for their arrest, the 2 accused attempted to escape while the 32-year-old put up strong resistance during his apprehension.
The arrested individuals were brought before the competent prosecutor.
