The community in Aspropyrgo is in shock following the sudden death of a 10-year-old girl from cardiac arrest on Friday (31/10). The student was in her school’s courtyard when she collapsed while walking in the basketball court area. An EKAB mobile medical unit rushed to the scene while the school’s PE teacher called the school nurse to provide first aid. “What I saw was a little child on the ground”, a shocked eyewitness to the incident stated, describing the devastating scenes that unfolded before his eyes.

Specifically, a man who lives directly across from the school courtyard stated: “What I saw was a little child on the ground. The school doctor performed CPR on her. Two ambulances came, they took her with police escort to the hospital. And some relatives, some were crying.”

It should be noted that, according to parapolitika.gr sources, the little girl was transported with cardiac arrest to Thriasio Hospital in Elefsina, where doctors in the emergency department made superhuman efforts, performing CPR for approximately one hour while administering ten doses of adrenaline. The young girl, however, never recovered. It’s worth noting that resuscitation attempts were also made by a school nurse. According to reports, the 52-year-old physical education teacher was brought to the local police station to provide a related statement.
