The impressive Greek flag was raised once again at the port of Chios in preparation for the national holiday of October 28th. The ceremony took place at 12:00 noon on Monday (27/10), in the presence of numerous citizens and representatives of local authorities.

According to ERT, the flag covers an area of 150 square meters and was transported to the site by students from the Merchant Marine Academy, accompanied by the philharmonic orchestra. “Our flag is the symbol of our nation. With it, all struggles for freedom were fought, and we honor it as it deserves. We wish to always remain free and, if necessary, to defend it properly,” stated theologian and musician of the 3rd High School of Chios, Konstantinos Ganiaris, to ERT.
