A gang of Roma criminals, responsible for dozens of robberies and fraud schemes targeting elderly citizens, has been dismantled by police, leading to the arrest of three individuals. The group members posed as public service employees and after gaining access to elderly victims’ homes, they stole money, jewelry, and other valuables.

Police have recovered: gold chains, rings, gold jewelry, gold coins, watches, and cash. According to police investigations, the gang that operated from Aspropurgos is linked to 55 confirmed robberies, while the investigation continues.
Mobile phones found in the perpetrators’ possession have also been sent to forensic laboratories for analysis. The arrested suspects will likely be brought before the competent prosecutorial authorities this afternoon.
