Shock and horror have gripped the local community in Megara following news that a 37-year-old man went into a violent rampage and stabbed his mother, sister and uncle. According to the perpetrator’s cousin speaking on Mega’s Live News program, he was facing serious health problems and was a user of narcotics.

According to the same report, the two women sustained serious injuries, while the 37-year-old was arrested and taken to the local police station. “They took him to the psychiatric hospital briefly and then released him. Did he have to kill ten people? They knew about his condition, I would see him and get chills,” said the perpetrator’s cousin.
Knife attack in Megara: The timeline
Everything happened in Pefkenes, Megara, before 09:00 in the morning, when the 37-year-old, who reportedly suffers from serious psychological problems, attacked his relatives with a sharp object for unknown reasons, resulting in the victims being transferred to the Health Center.
The director of the Health Center where the victims were taken spoke about their injuries on the Mega program: “It was very barbaric, what I saw with my own eyes. Right now, hours have passed and we’re still trying to recover from what we saw. Deep knife wounds on their hands because they apparently tried to resist. They were communicating, not speaking but you could see in their eyes that these people were not in a coma.”
The Live News program notes that the perpetrator had a criminal record. In 2020, he was reportedly arrested for participation in a drug trafficking ring and in 2021 for drug possession in Zefyri.
The perpetrator had been hospitalized in 2014 and 2016, while just last night his commitment was requested again. It should be noted that after his arrest, the 37-year-old is being held at Megara Police Station.
