Shock in Elefsina following an incident where a 17-year-old allegedly threatened a student with a gun inside a school complex, in the presence of his classmates. The case, which was revealed on Tuesday (15/10), has caused uproar among educators and parents, as a real arsenal was discovered at the minor’s home.
Elefsina: The threat inside the school
According to Greek police, the 17-year-old, along with four other youths, approached a student in the courtyard of a school in Elefsina. The young men verbally abused him and shortly after the 17-year-old pulled out a gun, which he had hidden under his jacket, threatening his classmate.
Following the report of the incident, officers from the Crime Investigation Department of Elefsina identified the perpetrator and immediately proceeded to search his home.

During the operation, police officers located and confiscated five unlicensed rifles, one air gun, brass knuckles, a stiletto, a pocket knife, two knives, 85 hunting cartridges, one firecracker and numerous metal pellets.
The 17-year-old was arrested along with his parents, aged 45 and 53, who are charged with neglect of supervision of a minor. All three were brought before the competent prosecutor.
