Shock in Volos: She confessed the abuse to her teachers
According to the same source, the educators immediately notified the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office in Volos as well as the Police following the latest incident, which could no longer be concealed, as the bruises were extensive and visible even to the naked eye. At that point, the student decided to confess to her teachers that the marks on her hands were caused by beatings from her father. Additionally, she said that her minor sister had broken her arm three times within six months. The case is now in the judicial investigation phase, in order to assign responsibilities where they exist and ensure the safety of both this specific child and her sister, as beyond the violence the two girls receive, there are strong elements of neglect. Speaking to the school life counselor and the school psychologist, the child reportedly said that her mother left home because she too was a victim of the father’s violence.
