Society remains stunned by the tragic incident that occurred at the Apollo Tower in Ampelokipoi, where a man jumped from the 24th floor of the tower, wanting to end his life. It is noted that the man is dead. A witness who was at the scene spoke on camera and revealed the unbelievable moments experienced by those who were there. “We heard a huge bang. We got scared, we thought there was some kind of explosion. We immediately ran outside and unfortunately saw the person lying down below,” he initially stated.

The eyewitness claimed that police arrived at the scene 20 minutes after the incident. “Until the police came, it was uncovered. As soon as they arrived they covered it, but it remained there for quite a while,” she continued and added: “Until the police arrived there were tons of people and as soon as the police came they made us leave.” She also reminded that a similar incident has happened in the past.
According to the parapolitika.gr report, the approximately 35-year-old man jumped from a window of the cafeteria located on the 24th floor of the tower, and landed on Alexi Pavli Street. An ambulance and EKAB motorcycle rushed to the scene, and the man was transported to Red Cross Hospital.

Second suicide incident at the “Deos” restaurant
This is the second incident that has occurred at the same location at the “Deos” restaurant. It should be noted that in the early hours of Monday, May 19, 2025, a 25-year-old man fell from the 24th floor, where the cafeteria/restaurant is located in the Apollo Tower. Eight firefighters with 3 vehicles rushed to the scene, as well as EKAB and Police forces. The fall ended on the roof of the Sklavenitis supermarket, which is located at the base of the Tower.
