The **ban** on a **gathering** tonight at **Syntagma Square** marking one year since the death of **Hamas** leader **Yahya Sinwar** has been decided by **Greek police**. According to the relevant decision by the Director of Athens Police Department, the ban is in effect from today at 5 PM until tomorrow at 6 AM. As stated in the decision “*the above prohibition is imposed as their conduct threatens serious danger to public safety due to possible commission of serious crimes, particularly against life, physical integrity and property, and seriously threatens the disruption of socio-economic life in the area*.”

“*It is announced that by decision of the Director of Athens Police Department, the holding of a public outdoor assembly on Thursday 16-10-2025 at 20:00 at Syntagma Square by members of the collectives “Gather for Gaza” & “Stand with Palestine” with participation of members of the “Popular Front of Turkey” on the occasion of the completion of one year since the death of YAHYA SINWAR, leader of the Palestinian organization “HAMAS” is prohibited, and from 17:00 hours of 16-10-2025 until 06:00 hours of 17-10-2025 any public outdoor assembly related to the above, in the area enclosed by the streets: Vas. Konstantinou Ave. – Vas. Alexandrou Ave. – Vas. Sofias Ave. – Plutarchou – Patriarch Ioakeim – Skoufa – Lycabettus – Amerikis – Kolokotroni – Voreiou – Athinas – Ermou – Monastiraki Square – Mitropoleos – Philellinon – Vas. Amalias Ave. – Vas. Olgas Ave. – Vas.
