Panos Routsi hospitalized – Health issues after 23-day hunger strike
According to the team’s announcement, after completing the reading of names at Syntagma Square, Mr. Routsi felt unwell and sat down in a chair to rest. At that moment, as an ambulance was passing by, team members called it over to take vital measurements and check his condition, and they deemed it appropriate to transport him to Evangelismos Hospital.
The team emphasizes that this week and next week are critical and Panos Routsi needs complete rest, as his body was severely strained by the 23-day hunger strike. For this reason, journalists are asked to understand the situation and not disturb him on his personal phone for interviews.
It should be noted that Panos Routsi ended his hunger strike after 23 exhausting days, following the prosecutor’s order to exhume his son’s body and conduct toxicological and biochemical examinations.
