Traffic ring 2025: When it finally returns and what caused recent confusion
In recent days, confusion had prevailed as information had circulated based on last year’s data and the corresponding restart date in autumn 2024, suggesting the traffic ring would return from today. The truth is that the relevant Joint Ministerial Decision had not been issued and is currently passing through the necessary signatures from the relevant Ministries of Infrastructure and Transport, Environment and Energy, Citizen Protection, and Digital Governance. Once all four ministers and the deputy transport minister sign, the decision will proceed to the National Printing Office for publication in the Government Gazette.

Frantzis – Syngrou Avenue – Chamosternas – Piraeus – Iera Odos – Konstantinoupoleos Avenue – Achilleos – Karaiskaki Square – Karolou – Marnis – 28th October (Patission) – Alexandras Avenue.
