The local community of Drama has been plunged into mourning following the death of a 14-year-old boy who lost his life in a traffic accident involving a farming vehicle on Sunday afternoon (12/10). The 14-year-old died on Sunday afternoon on a forest road near the village of Volakas, when the farming vehicle he was driving overturned. Three minors, aged approximately 14-15 years, were passengers in the vehicle. The vehicle skidded, resulting in the death of the 14-year-old driver and injuring a second child, who is being treated at Drama Hospital. The other two children are in good health.

The grieving father of the 14-year-old from Drama spoke to Star’s show “Truths with Zina” about the tragic incident. “He had driven before, it was common knowledge that he drove,” the father said, discussing the tragedy. When asked by the show, he clarified that the farming vehicle did not belong to his family. He maintained that in the past they had advised the child not to drive.
How the tragedy with the 14-year-old in Drama occurred
The tragedy occurred on a forest road approximately 5 to 6 kilometers away from the village of Volakas in Drama on Sunday afternoon (12/10). The show’s camera crew arrived at the scene and recorded shocking images of the overturned farming vehicle.
According to Star, the farming vehicle reportedly began to spin and, at some point, as evidenced by the vehicle’s tire tracks, ended up at the edge of the dirt road. The 14-year-old possibly tried to regain control, however he was unsuccessful, resulting in the vehicle skidding off the road.
Mourning in the local community
One minor was in the back of the truck bed and the other three children were sitting in front. The young person hospitalized is the one who was in the truck bed. He was injured while trying to jump from the farming vehicle.
“We were frozen…Unfortunately, the worst happened”, fellow villagers of the 14-year-old tell “Truths with Zina.” They describe a child with a strong work ethic, while they cannot believe the tragedy that struck their village from one moment to the next.
