Authorities continue their investigations, utilizing every piece of evidence at their disposal to track down the perpetrator of the murder at a campsite in Finikounda. According to the latest information, the license plate on the killer’s scooter who executed the business owner and the foreman appears to be fake.
Along the route the perpetrator followed to reach Attica, through Elis, Achaia and Corinthia, a security camera also recorded his license plate, which as determined by the police investigation, was fake and did not correspond to any other motorcycle. However, according to ERT sources, homicide detectives know the make and model of the white scooter and are trying to find where the young killer hid it.
Finikounda: The perpetrator’s physical characteristics
Another significant piece of evidence emerging from security cameras at two gas stations in Kyparissia and Corinth, where the perpetrator refueled, is that the physical characteristics of the motorcycle rider match the description of the campsite owner’s nephew, who was an eyewitness to the murder, as well as the characteristics of the perpetrator who had shot the 68-year-old with an air gun at his home in Finikounda on September 7.
In that attack as well, the perpetrator was recorded by cameras, along with the motorcycle he was driving, which is different from the one he used in the double execution.
The contract killing scenario
Homicide analysts are seriously examining the possibility that the young man carried out a contract killing, but they rule out it originating from organized crime, as he made many critical mistakes that are leading authorities to his trail.
