In an atmosphere of grief, relatives, teammates and friends said their final goodbye to 19-year-old Aspasia Chatziklimianoglou from Ilioupoli who was killed in a traffic accident. It is recalled that the 19-year-old was a passenger on the motorcycle driven by a 21-year-old. Specifically, the two young people were on Argyroupoli Avenue when the young man performed a wheelie and lost control of the motorcycle, which veered off course and crashed into the median strip.

One day after the 21-year-old’s funeral, close friends and family of 19-year-old Aspa gathered at Ilioupoli cemetery, wearing white clothes at the family’s request. Particularly touching was the farewell message from the cheerleading team of which she was a member.

“Our club is immersed in grief. Our athlete Aspasia Chatziklimianoglou left life suddenly and unjustly, leaving behind a huge void. We bid her farewell with love, respect and gratitude for everything she offered through her character and presence.
Our heartfelt condolences to the family and her loved ones. We will always remember her. Safe travels our dear Aspa,” her club wrote upon hearing of her death.
