Konstantia Dimoglido on Foinikounda: No evidence shows existence of accomplice
Responding to a question about the possible existence of an accomplice, Ms. Dimoglido stated: “So far, I must tell you that there is no evidence showing that there is an accomplice to the perpetrator. There is no element confirming that someone was waiting for the person and subsequently transported him to another location. The information police have indicates we are talking about one person who arrived, possibly on a motorcycle, and departed alone from the scene on it.”
According to her statements, it is difficult for the police officers investigating this strange case to find video material from the wider area.
“We have no video footage”
Speaking about the eyewitness, Ms. Dimoglido mentioned that he saw the moment of the murder. “He also tried to flee from the scene so the perpetrator wouldn’t fatally injure him too,” she said, noting that there are some reports from people outside the camping site who saw some movements that have not yet been confirmed, as well as some who managed to see the perpetrator’s departure from the camping site.
Regarding the murder weapon, the police spokesperson stated that the perpetrator likely used a revolver, as no shell casings were found at the scene. “We only have six gunshots,” she noted, emphasizing that the forensic examination is awaited to show how the victims died.
When asked about the murder motive and the dialogue between the perpetrator and the business owner, she emphasized that the conversation, according to the police officers handling the case, was conducted so the killer could draw the victim’s attention and manage to arm himself before fatally injuring the victims.
