Under extreme secrecy and through exemplary police operations, officers from the Crime Investigation and Detection Department of Dionyssos executed an arrest warrant for the 29-year-old suspect, who is believed to be the gunman who shot and wounded the 38-year-old ex-husband of his current partner on September 30 in Drosia.
The arrest took place in Zakynthos, where the alleged perpetrator, a cook by profession, resides. A house search is expected to be conducted during the day, with authorities looking for both the weapon the 29-year-old allegedly used and the clothing he was wearing in the early hours of September 30, as captured by security cameras now in possession of the Dionyssos Security Division.
Attempted murder in Drosia: Possibility of accomplice remains open
According to parapolitika.gr sources, the perpetrator may not have acted alone, and efforts are underway to locate a possible accomplice. The same sources report that the suspect’s mobile phone has been sent to forensic laboratories, after its data appears to have been tampered with, possibly as part of an attempt to cover his tracks.
Testimonies from the 29-year-old’s circle indicate that on the day in question, the suspect was absent from his place of residence. The young man is expected to be transferred today to the prosecutor for the execution of the warrant and will be referred to an investigating judge.
